Today, 14 Sep 2022, Bangladesh Embassy, Tokyo organized an online seminar for the outgoing JDS fellows this year. H.E. Mr. Shahabuddin Ahmed, Ambassador of Bangladesh in Japan attended the seminar as chief guest. As many as 33 fellows (30 Masters and 3 Phd) have completed their degrees and are leaving Japan. The Ambassador congratulated on their success and expressed hope that they are now ready and eager to serve the country and its people with renewed passion. H.E. wished them best of luck in all of their future endeavors. On behalf of Japan International Cooperation Center (JICE), Mr. Sakurai Takayuki made a presentation on the current status of the JDS fellowship program. Then number of fellows provided their feedback one after another about their study and stay in Japan over the last few years and also submitted a few suggestions. Then Mr. Sheikh Farid, Political Counsellor and HOC of the Embassy who is former JDS fellow made a presentation about the roles that the returnee JDS fellows can play in realizing the targets of our perspective plan ‘vision 2041’. While Mr. MIYAKAWA Takashi, Country Director of JICE at the JDS Project Office in Bangladesh shared their final comments, Mr. Syed Nasir Ershad, Economic Minister of the Embassy delivered the closing remarks.
