Bangladesh Embassy, Tokyo celebrated the Digital Bangladesh Day 2022

Today (12 December 2022), the Bangladesh Embassy, Tokyo has celebrated the Digital Bangladesh Day 2022 in a befitting manner with the theme “Advanced technology, Inclusive Development” . All embassy officers and officials attended the event. The day’s program started in the morning with playing theme song of the event. This was followed by the remarks of H.E. the Ambassador.
In his remarks, H.E. Mr. Shahabuddin Ahmed, the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Japan paid profound homage to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. H.E the Ambassador said the present government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina declared the “Vision 2021” to turn our country to a “Digital Bangladesh”. Since 2009, under this vision, the government has been working relentlessly in ensuring people’s rights, maintaining transparency, accountability and ensuring delivery of government services through maximum use of technology and digital platforms . The use of ICT in daily life has improved over the past 13 years and changed the lifestyle of general people in Bangladesh. After the remarks of H.E the Ambassador, the participants engaged in open discussion and highlighted the various aspect of digitizing Bangladesh that have spurred our overall advancement. A video presentation on the Progress of Digital Bangladesh was screened at the event.
