The Embassy of Bangladesh, Tokyo celebrated the Birth Centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day 2020

The Embassy of Bangladesh in Tokyo observed the Birth Centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day 2020 in a befitting manner. The program of the day started with hoisting the national flag along with national anthem at the Embassy premises by Charge d’ Affaires of the mission, Dr. Sahida Akter. It was followed by observing one minute of silence and special prayer seeking salvation and peace for the departed souls of the Father of the Nation, his family members and martyrs of the liberation war.

Charge d’ Affaires and all officials of the mission paid tribute to the Father of Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing floral wreath at his portrait and later, messages issued by Hon’ble President, Hon’ble Prime Minister, Hon’ble Foreign Minister and Hon’ble State Minister for Foreign Affairs were read out.

Charge d’ Affaires has delivered a welcome speech and expatriate Bangladeshi members also took part in the discussion. A video documentary was also screened of on the life of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
