Bangladesh Investment Seminar held in Tokyo
A successful investment seminar titled “Bangladesh Investment Seminar” was held on 31 October 2017 in Tokyo with a view to draw more Japanese investments to Bangladesh. The seminar was organized by the Embassy of Bangladesh in collaboration with Prime Minister’s Office, Dhaka; Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO). It was was held at JETRO headquarters. Around 200 representatives from different Japanese companies joined the crowded seminar.
The seminar began through the opening speech of H.E. Rabab Fatima, Bangladesh Ambassador to Japan. Mr. Abul Kalam Azad, Principal Coordinator (SDG), Prime Minister’s Office; Mr. Kazi M. Aminul Islam, Chairman, Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), Mr. Paban Chowdhury, Executive Chairman, Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) and Mr. Md. Shafiul Islam (Mohiuddin), President, FBCCI made presentations/remarks among others in the seminar.
Representatives from JETRO and JICA also made informative presentations in the seminar.
