The Embassy Observes National Mourning Day
The Embassy observed the National Mourning Day in a somber and befitting manner. The program was attended by a large number of Bangladesh community members and Japanese guests.
The programs include hoisting of the national flag at half mast; observance of silence; offering of special prayer; reading out of messages issued from Hon’ble President, Hon’ble Prime Minister, Hon’ble Foreign Minister and Hon’ble State Minister for Foreign Affairs.
A documentary on the life and work of Bangabandhu was screened and viewed in pin-drop silence by the audience. A lively discussion on the life and achievements of the Father of the Nation followed the screening of the documentary.
